Aurora in the Philippines will be the venue for the fourth ever Rugby League Asian Cup clash when the Philippines Tamaraws take on the Japanese Samurais this Saturday.
The regional trophy was first played in 2012 in Bangkok with the Tamaraws running out 86 - 0 winners before successfully defending the trophy in 2013 (San Narciso, Philippines : 44 - 10) and 2017 (Pattaya Beach, Thaialnd : 64 - 2).
The 2019 event will be the first time that Japan has contested for the trophy, with the Samuaris defeating the Hong Kong Thunder 32 - 30 in their last International. Japan and Philippines have never met in a Rugby League International before.
Both teams have named squads from the respective local competitions.
